It has been narrated that Ayyoob as-Sakhtiyaanee (one of the early Muslims) said:

“Indeed from the good fortune of a youth, or a non-Arab is that Allaah should guide them to a scholar from the companions of the Sunnah.” Sharh Usool al-I’tiqaad (no. 31)

By the grace of Allah and then by the help of the IN team, here is a complete list of all the online lectures we could gather by Shaikh Ali Tamimi fakkallaahu asra (may Allah release him from his imprisonment).

I have been listening to the Shaikh’s lecture since I was 14. It is testimony to the quality of his lessons (and Allah knows best – his sincerity too) that they have endured for more than a decade. His lectures are distinguished by their clarity of expression, profundity of proofs and arguments, and accesibility to newly practising and young Muslims. Even up today I still relisten to those tapes, their sound quality now reduced to much hissing, but alway increasing me in eemaan (faith).

There are many lectures and they are all worth listening to, but the following are *must-hear*:

Sharh of al-’Aqeedah al-Waasitiyya

This is an explantion of some fundamental principles of faith in the Islamic religion comprised in a tract written by the famous 14th century Muslim scholar and religious reviver, Shakh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullaah (may Allah have mercy upon him).

The Ghurabaa` Series

These are a series of lectures based upon the Master’s thesis of Sheikh Salman al-’Awdah waffaqahullaah (may Allah grant him success in His obedience) which discusses the hadith: “Islam began as something strange, and it will return to somthing strange, so glad-tidings to the strangers”

The Muslim World – Where is it heading?

These are a series of very inspiring lectures regarding the present political and cultural state of the Muslims due to the ideological warfare inflicted upon them and how they must respond. Recorded in London, 1996.

Life of Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam Medina Period – Vol. 2 – Audio CD (19 CDs)

This set of lectures is the third and last part of Life of Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam. This set covers the last five years of the life of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam from the fifth year of Hijra to the tenth. It includes the important events of the truce of Hudaybiyyah, the battle of Khaibar, the battle of Mu’tah, the conquest of Makkah, the battle of Hunain, the battle of Tabuk and finally the passing away of the seal of the Prophets.

State of the Ummah

This lecture was delivered to a Pakistani audience via live VOIP link on Sunday 01 March 2009. It was part of a Conference held by Shifa Student Society Islamabad themed: Enlightened Moderation – The New World Order? “They are but empty names which you have invented…” (53:23)

In 2004, he returned to his native Yemen where he taught at Eman university until his arrest in mid 2006. Zahir Mahmood

This erudite scholar was born in England and has gained licenses to teach (ijaazas) in many Islamic sciences including Qur’an, Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and Traditions (Hadith) of The Prophet (SAW) from various Shyukh.

Following the completion of his secular studies at the age of 16, he enrolled at Dar al-Uloom al-Arabiyya al-Islamiyya, Bury (a satellite college to al- Azhar University), where he initiated his studies of the Alimiya course. Thereafter, he studied 3 years in the presitigious seat of learning al-Jamia al- Islamiyya Karachi, Pakistan.

Abdullah Ibn Zubayr The Seventh Caliph

Abdullah ibn Zubayr, the Grandson of Abu Bakr, nephew of Aisha, son of Zubayr ibn Al-Awwam, one of the ten guaranteed Jannah and Asma (known as the one with the two waist belts). Sahaaba (may Allah be pleased with them) would say three things; no one disputed regarding Abdullah ibn Zubayr “His bravery, eloquence and worship”. He was the first child to be born in Medina; upon nobody’s birth were the Sahaaba as happy as upon the birth of Abdullah ibn Zubayr. The Seventh Caliph, his final discussion with his mother is one of the most touching that history has ever captured. It exemplifies the bravery of mother and child.
